Discipline, effort, and experience shape who we become

Academic and Professional Background

Health and wellbeing are essential components of both personal and professional success, particularly in healthcare-related fields. As a student at the College of Health Sciences, I balance multiple responsibilities that significantly impact my physical and mental wellbeing. In addition to my academic commitments, I work full-time as a dental assistant, a role that requires focus, physical endurance, and emotional stability when dealing with patients in a clinical environment.

Personal Development and Learning Journey

Alongside my healthcare and nusring studies, I have explored other academic interests, including forensic psychology, driven by my curiosity about human behavior and mental processes. Managing full-time work, academic studies, and personal development simultaneously was mentally and physically demanding; however, completing this journey and earning a diploma from an internationally accredited institute strengthened my resilience, discipline, and time-management skills.

Health, Wellbeing, and Personal Motivation

Horse riding plays a central role in my life, as I practice it regularly and participate in competitions. Despite physical fatigue, riding provides me with a sense of freedom, emotional release, and mental clarity. It has also taught me the importance of proper nutrition, as physical performance, endurance, and recovery depend on maintaining consistent and balanced eating habits.

This e-portfolio documents my personal journey toward improving my health and wellbeing, with a particular focus on managing stress and improving sleep quality. Through setting SMART goals, developing realistic fitness and meal plans, learning from others through interviews, and reflecting on course concepts, I aim to build sustainable habits that support my academic performance, professional responsibilities, and overall wellbeing as a future healthcare professional.

This portfolio represents my commitment to applying what I learn in real life rather than limiting knowledge to theory alone. Through discipline, effort, and experience, I have learned that wellbeing is shaped by daily choices, consistency, and self-awareness.

Balancing work, study, and personal passion has taught me that challenges are not barriers, but opportunities for growth. Each experience contributes to building resilience, confidence, and a clearer sense of purpose.

Learning thrugh effort, experience, and self-discipline.
